Recreating Pylons in Minecraft

My own designed pylon in my Minecraft server.

As you may know, Minecraft is the best-selling game in the world (according to Wikipedia). It’s been for probably the past decade and I suspect it will stay like that for a while. It’s widely played across a large amount of people, including me.

I have played Minecraft like it was about building simple houses, surviving and sometimes a few small buildings while I was younger. However, at around the start of 2024 I decided to go add something: pylons.

“So you’re building Minecraft pylons?”

Yes.

I got obsessed with them and when I was young, I always looked at them when I was outside and said like “Hey, there’s a line with pylons here!”. I’m still obsessed with and talk about them, and an exciting renovation of a line will happen close to me (within 15km) which I will be following and probably bike across, whenever I am out of school.

For now, I have only added electricity (high voltage) pylons in my server, but I am thinking about adding pylons for mobile radio communication as well. I’ll leave a gallery below with some screenshots I’ve made of some pylons (do note that the current progress is way further, so most of the things have already been finished):

If you’d like to read more about the history of my physical server itself, you can view this post.

The Minecraft server is private, but feel free to request to join! You can join the Discord server for it from here. Enjoy!
