Some kids, well, yeah. As I’m a person myself living in this generation, I’m kind of feeling sober. Especially compared to other children all around me.
What’s Happening?
While this might sound selfish, I think I’m in some cases much more normal than others. When asking normal questions, you sometimes just get a nonsense reply back containing a quote from some horrendous meme.
What happened to normal conversations and relaxing? Anyone I hear either has a very busy week schedule or says “why is it so quiet?” when there is finally some rest in the class, which is pretty rare these days.
People swearing with more and more with worse and worse words and the show begins. Today’s kids are making a show of everything, and judge others on any aspect without caring about any respect.
The One to Blame
This all is probably the fault of our growing dependence on the internet. By watching way too many wrong videos per day, we’re learning to do the bad things and we even use it to express ourself in an incorrect way.
As a teenager myself, I’m warning parents for things their kids do.You might trust your kid saying that they aren’t using rather unhealthy stuff but especially in those days, I can imagine you’d need to check deeper on if they really don’t. Lots of children hide it, and that’s one of the reasons this might never make it to the reports. I think many more people are doing bad things than that’s being said by reports, just because many are hiding it.
We need to make our own choices, that’s where we have democracy and freedom for anyways. With how things are right now, you get:
- Kids complaining about looks, not limited to clothing and faces.
- Kids spoiling because they have ‘more’ friends.
- Kids saying all types of random things based on ‘funny’ internet jokes in a normal conversation.
- Kids raging (like it’s always the problem of the other one!) because adults just do their work, including but not limited to parents and teachers.
- Kids freaking out because they haven’t met with someone for a week.
- Kids saying they have time to do plenty of other stuff every day. This one is debatable because it depends on how long it takes for some to finish it but I’ve had cases where it sounds rather impossible.
- Kids laughing about themselves getting drunk. This is just sad, how can you laugh about destroying yourself to the limits?
Hmm looking at this, I should maybe make it into a report. I’ll consider it.
Anyways, I am pretty sure puberty plays a role in this. However, I don’t agree to anything that lots of people around me do, because they don’t sound very adult and keen, taking all points I’ve listed into consideration.
